A frosty morning

So a bit of cold weather at last. I took a detour across the bottom of Parliament Hill yesterday morning, and was rewarded with a beautiful looking frosty heat, and I was very excited to see a bit of ice on the pond at last. Since the water's been cold for a while now we might as well have a bit of ice! Of course it was all gone this morning, damp & mild again.

Winter is here.

It's official now the carpet is out! And a nice light dusting of frost on it as well. Although I took this the other day and it was lovely and mild this morning.

Now that looks enticing! I've often thought we could do with a sauna down at the pond, ice cold water after a lovely hot sauna, amazing. Have a word with the Corporation please Terry?!

Shaky hands today

Ouch! So keen was I to get in this morning I didn't even notice the very small 3°C at the bottom of the board. Obviously it wouldn't have stopped me!
Apologies for the camera shake, I took them after my swim and didn't notice until I got to work, maybe it adds something anyway.
The warm up running was obviously too fast for the shutter!

Missing out

It's always a gorgeous day when I can't get to the pond. I couldn't make it today because I had to take my son to nursery. What a liberty!
When I got off the bike at work all sweaty, I had confirmation (as if I needed it) that a cold dip is the best way to start the day.
