Winter is here.

It's official now the carpet is out! And a nice light dusting of frost on it as well. Although I took this the other day and it was lovely and mild this morning.

Not quite this cold yet.

Now that looks enticing! I've often thought we could do with a sauna down at the pond, ice cold water after a lovely hot sauna, amazing. Have a word with the Corporation please Terry?!

Shaky hands today

Ouch! So keen was I to get in this morning I didn't even notice the very small 3°C at the bottom of the board. Obviously it wouldn't have stopped me!
Apologies for the camera shake, I took them after my swim and didn't notice until I got to work, maybe it adds something anyway.
The warm up running was obviously too fast for the shutter!

Missing out

It's always a gorgeous day when I can't get to the pond. I couldn't make it today because I had to take my son to nursery. What a liberty!
When I got off the bike at work all sweaty, I had confirmation (as if I needed it) that a cold dip is the best way to start the day.
So here's a few from Thursday.

The other day

These are from a few days ago, in between the mist we had, and the cold we have now.
They're all very green and retro, thanks to a bit of cheating with Hipstamatic. I think some pics with people in them might be the order of the day next time.

A day off, so a later swim for me.

Did anyone notice it was cold today?! I know it's rare for us to talk about the temperature, just thought I'd mention it.

Just two today

It was grey this morning, but as always the water was beautiful. I walked out all ready for my swim but had to pop back and get the camera when I saw the light on the pond.
